Chardonnay from Slovak soil tells a different story. Honey and citrus on the nose, nutty fruit on the palate: the clean, unadorned character of a winery that lets the grape speak entirely for itself.
Made for Sunday roast dinners: pair with roast chicken or a board of young, semi-aged Gouda.

Chardonnay is planted almost everywhere wine is made, which is exactly why what the Chowaniec & Krajčírovič family does with it stands out: nothing. No heavy oak, no manipulation to chase a fashionable style: just the grape, the limestone terraces of Svätý Jur, and patient, traditional winemaking passed down since the family took over these vines in 2001.
The result is a Chardonnay that tastes like the place it's from rather than like a winemaking technique: honest, textured, and quietly confident. It's the wine equivalent of a family recipe that never needed updating.
