Pesecká Leanka: Chowaniec & Krajčírovič

Pesecká Leanka is a rare Slovak white wine, and one you won't find outside this region. The grape is simply the Slovak name for Fetească Regală, a variety first identified in 1920s Transylvania.

Soft apricot, lavender and honeysuckle on the nose, with clean, refreshing acidity: a floral, summery character without tipping into sweetness, finishing crisp rather than heavy.

Taste
Light to medium body, floral and aromatic, finishing crisp. Serve chilled at 8–10°C in a standard white glass.

Pair It With
A natural match for Thai, Indonesian and Surinamese cuisine: think rijsttafel, curry, or Southeast Asian takeaway, not just a generic "spicy food" pairing.

Why It's Different
You won't find Pesecká Leanka on many wine lists outside Slovakia: it's a genuinely local variety, not a global grape grown everywhere. That makes it one of the more interesting ways to actually taste what's distinct about Slovak wine.

Pesecká Leanka: Chowaniec & Krajčírovič

Pesecká Leanka is een zeldzame Slowaakse witte wijn, een die u buiten deze regio niet zult vinden. De druif is simpelweg de Slowaakse naam voor Fetească Regală, een ras dat voor het eerst werd geïdentificeerd in de jaren twintig in Transsylvanië.

Zachte abrikoos, lavendel en kamperfoelie op de neus, met een schone, verfrissende zuurgraad: een bloemig, zomers karakter zonder in zoetheid te vervallen, met een frisse in plaats van zware afdronk.

Smaak
Lichte tot medium body, bloemig en aromatisch, met een frisse afdronk. Serveer gekoeld op 8–10°C in een standaard wittewijnglas.

Combineer Met
Een natuurlijke combinatie met Thaise, Indonesische en Surinaamse keuken: denk aan rijsttafel, curry of Zuidoost-Aziatische afhaal, niet zomaar een generieke combinatie met "pittig eten".

Waarom Deze Wijn Anders Is
U zult Pesecká Leanka buiten Slowakije op weinig wijnkaarten aantreffen: het is een oprecht lokaal ras, geen wereldwijd verbouwde druif. Dat maakt het een van de interessantere manieren om daadwerkelijk te proeven wat Slowaakse wijn onderscheidend maakt.
