Grown in the Kleine Karpaten limestone hills northeast of Bratislava, made without oak, without shortcuts, without dressing it up. Honey and citrus on the nose, a nutty savoury edge, a long clean finish: this is what the grape does when nobody interferes.

Taste
Medium body, fine acidity, savoury length. Serve at 10–12°C in a standard white glass, cool, not cold, so the honey and citrus can open.

Pair It With
Roast chicken. Mild hard cheeses. Creamy pasta. Anything a heavy, buttery Chardonnay would flatten.

Why It's Different
Chardonnay's reputation problem was never the grape: it was oak doing the talking. This bottle removes it. What's left is cool-climate, mineral, closer to northern France than to the tropical, oak-driven styles most Dutch drinkers grew up on.

De meeste Chardonnay is een wijnmakerskeuze. Deze is een plek.

Verbouwd in de kalkstenen heuvels van de Kleine Karpaten ten noordoosten van Bratislava, gemaakt zonder eikenhout, zonder shortcuts, zonder franje. Honing en citrus op de neus, een nootachtige hartige rand, een lange schone afdronk: dit is wat de druif doet wanneer niemand zich ermee bemoeit.

Smaak
Medium body, fijne zuurgraad, hartige lengte. Serveer op 10–12°C in een standaard wittewijnglas, koel maar niet koud, zodat de honing en citrus zich kunnen openen.

Combineer Met
Gebraden kip. Milde harde kazen. Romige pasta. Alles wat een zware, boterige Chardonnay zou platslaan.

Waarom Deze Wijn Anders Is
Het reputatieprobleem van Chardonnay lag nooit bij de druif: het was eikenhout dat de boventoon voerde. Deze fles laat het achterwege. Wat overblijft is koel klimaat, mineraal, dichter bij Noord-Frankrijk dan bij de tropische, gehoute stijlen waarmee de meeste Nederlandse drinkers zijn opgegroeid.
